Who We Are?
Bahir Empowerment and Development Organization, founded by a team of proficient and dedicated individuals in 2017, is a non-profit organization registered at the Ministry of Economics of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan with license number 4311. Applying up-to-date policies, BEDO always strives to carry out its activities competently, constructively and efficiently, while exercising social responsibility, and in accordance with national values and interests, applicable laws, and the standard practices of non-governmental organizations. A nonpolitical and independent organization, BEDO is dedicated to offering humanitarian and volunteer services to the needy in society. It also actively participates in the reconstruction and development of the country, focusing on education, health, social services, empowerment, and professional development. BEDO’s activities include organizing and conducting a wide range of short, medium, and long-term training programs, as well as undertaking a multitude of educational, health, and empowerment initiatives in different parts of the country. Other approaches by which BEDO strives to reduce poverty and unemployment include networking and mobilizing women and youth, providing social services, creating internships and employment opportunities, and assisting individuals in creating independent occupations. Our main office is in Kabul. However, we are fully capable of opening regional and provincial offices as and when an assignment mandates our presence beyond our existing area of operation
