The social process is heavily influenced by education, which is also seen as a key pillar for a nation’s advancement and development as well as a powerful tool for bringing about positive and beneficial changes in a society’s material and spiritual spheres. Therefore, BEDO aims to create a trained, effective, and professional workforce by offering education and training to all socioeconomic classes, making it the fundamental element of economic, social, and cultural development
Skills Development and Vocational Training
Vocational training and skills development are of fundamental importance in today’s societies and play an important role in planning for the development of countries. The growth of the population, the level of unemployment and the level of people’s engagement in economic activities have created a new demand for training professional manpower and practical trainings to improve personal and professional skills. This is the problem faced by many countries today. BEDO intends to enhance the competencies and skills of the vulnerable groups in the society by holding various skills training programs in different fields. This way, by learning a profession and art, they will be able to fulfil their necessities of life, and hence help in elevating the economy of their family and society

BEDO will make every effort to make health and wellbeing a reality for all members of the society; in order to respond to the needs of the vulnerable groups such as children, mothers and people with serious and severe health issues in the country. Having a team of experts and specialists in the health sector, BEDO has been continuously working to improve the overall health of the society, by undertaking effective health programs in order to prevent diseases and improve health conditions, reduce the mortality rates, especially among mothers and newborns, as well as improving children’s health and prevention of malnutrition. With effective plans in place, BEDO strives to create a healthy environment for a safe life, free from diseases, and subsequently ensure access for all members of the society to better quality health services and facilities.
Social and Humanitarian Services
For a long time, Afghanistan has been plagued by significant socioeconomic issues, which has affected the population in many different ways. These problems primarily revolve around issues like unemployment and poverty, migration, social losses brought on by natural disasters, lack of shelter, and rise in addiction, psychiatric issues, and illiteracy. BEDO works to attract cooperation with many national and international institutions in order to provide social services for the underprivileged and empower them, foster a productive and independent lifestyle, address the issues they face, and fulfill their needs.

Women’s engagement in higher education and technical fields is crucial for decision-making and participation in the country’s reconstruction process. Girls’ and women empowerment is a vital step towards advancement and development of society and advancing the culture of dialogue and coexistence. Through BEDO’s implementation of educational and professional learning programs, creation of social and professional networks for them, women can reach higher levels of decision-making in all spheres of society and evolve into leaders and managers of public and private sector organizations. The influence and power of women in the government, economy, business, and social institutions in the country will improve as they occupy important decision-making positions. BEDO has been working to empower Afghan women and promote gender equality.
